Major sporting events allow its hosts to show off the best of their culture, heritage and beauty. It also spurs many to embark on major infrastructural enhancements to augment that experience. This is very true of the Arabian Gulf Cup event which is biennial football tournament governed by the Arab Gulf Football Federation’s eight member nations. The city of Basrah, in southern Iraq, will have the honour of hosting this event between 6th and 19th of January 2023 and has embarked on major investments in its facilities and surrounding infrastructure to facilitate and show off the city in a most positive way.
Several hundred decorative Aluminium Lighting columns and Street light poles with LED lights and acrylic shades in different heights and colour finishes have been completed and exported to the Republic of Iraq by the Architectural Products Division of Alico Industries Company Limited (AIL). These works of functional beauty will not only compliment the areas in which they are placed during daylight hours but also provide illumination during the night hours providing both effect and safety.
Over the many decades of its existence AIL have exported its products to nearly all continents and continues to strive to further its reach and bring the fruit of its talents and capabilities to a wider audience of peoples.
