ONGC’S PIPELINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT 7 – HALF SHELL BRACELET ANODES

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is the largest crude oil and natural gas Company in India, contributing around 71 per cent to Indian domestic production. Over the past decade, ONGC has carried out six phases of its pipeline replacement project where the new pipeline segment is installed adjacent to the existing pipeline, making it possible for the construction work to be performed without interrupting natural gas flow through the original pipeline. Now PRP-7 is in the process of execution.

Located in the offshore of western India, the PRP-7 involves engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of 350 kilometers of subsea pipelines and related offshore works. The work will be carried out across ONGC’s Mumbai High, Neelam Heera and Bassein and Satellite assets.

Alico Industries’ Cathodic Protection Division is pleased to have played a part in this project development and to have successfully completed the supply of the Aluminium-Zinc-Indium Alloy Half Shell Bracelet Sacrificial Anodes for Season 1 of submarine pipelines and risers.
