ANODES

CABGOC, which stands for Chevron Angola Block 0, is a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation and operates as a joint venture with Sonangol, the national oil company of Angola. CABGOC is involved in the exploration, production, and development of oil and gas resources in Block 0, located offshore Angola. The Sanha Mafumeira Connector (SMC) and South N’ Dola Development (SND) are two significant projects undertaken by CABGOC Both the SMC and SND projects are crucial for CABGOC’s operations and its contribution to Angola’s oil and gas industry.

Saudi Aramco is currently in the process of executing the replacement of two trunk lines (CRPO 63) that are linked to Gas-Oil Separation Plant -2 as part of the Zuluf field development program. This extensive project, valued at an estimated USD 110 million, encompasses the replacement of two 12-kilometer trunk lines, along with instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical works, as well as associated facilities.

As part of this ongoing gas field development project, Alico’s Cathodic Protection Division has been awarded and is currently supplying various sizes of half shell bracelet anodes required to provide cathodic protection of the submarine pipelines.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is the largest crude oil and natural gas Company in India, contributing around 71 per cent to Indian domestic production. Over the past decade, ONGC has carried out six phases of its pipeline replacement project where the new pipeline segment is installed adjacent to the existing pipeline, making it possible for the construction work to be performed without interrupting natural gas flow through the original pipeline.

The continuous development of the project requires cathodic protection system for submarine pipelines using sacrificial anodes. Bolted type bracelet anodes has been selected for this application and anodes shall be clamped around the pipeline and connected to the pipeline using copper cables connections.

As part of the GNN field development project, Cathodic Protection team of Alico Industries’ was awarded and successfully completed the supply of Al-Zn-In alloy Sacrificial bracelet anodes to suit 10 inch nominal diameter pipeline.
