It is just few days since Ramadan, the holiest month for Muslim people, ended. At this time of year, many Muslims visit the mosque where they pray for several hours. Aside from the five daily prayers that are part of Islam’s core, Muslims also recite a special prayer called the Tarawih prayer (night prayer)
The mosque is not only a place of worship for Muslims, but also a place of learning and community. They’re a central gathering place for Muslims, both for worship and faith and also for community and learning
On April 6th 2023, during the holy month of Ramadan, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah officially opened the Al Dhaid Mosque located in the Al Awaided area of Al Dhaid city, Sharjah. An architectural style influenced by Fatimid and Ottoman architecture is used in the design of the mosque that can accommodate 7,000 worshipers.
The Architecture Division of Alico Industries produced, supplied, and installed the gates and boundary fences with acrylic sheets for privacy, along with handrails for the steps and main doors all following the Mosque’s architectural styles.
