Located 120 km east of Sharjah city and around 12 km south of Fujairah city is the coastal city of Kalba. It is the largest city in the Emirate of Sharjah in terms of area and the second largest city in terms of population. Within this city is Kalba University. An educational complex consisting of a row of buildings overlooking the beautiful picturesque Kalba Lake, thus providing an atmosphere of serenity conducive to the inquisitive mind. The architecture reflects the spirit of Islamic style crowned with three majestic domes. The grand dome at the center of these structures is embraced by two slightly smaller ones on either side, creating a sense of spirituality and a feeling of grandeur.
Alico Industries Co. Ltd. had the honour of being involved in contributing to this beautiful Islamic architectural construction by dressing the top of these domes with gold anodized finials, thus adding richness to the whole architectural edifice as well as weatherproofing the structure. A graceful gleaming topping to these houses of wisdom and learning.
