KHORFFAKAN CITY BEACH ROAD – 12-MTR-HIGH DECORATIVE LIGHT POLES
In recent years Khorfakkan, the largest city in Sharjah’s East Coast, has grown in size and stature from just being a UAE port city on the Gulf of Oman. Major investments have been made into recreational parks, road and street beautification, heritage mountain village restorations, mountain dam construction, beach area redecoration, academic institutions and many more. A promenade runs along the beachfront, against the backdrop of the dramatic Hajar Mountains. Archaeological sites include ancient graves and a ruined Portuguese fort. West of town is Wadi Wurayah, a biodiverse mountain area with waterfalls and natural pools.
The main roads have been further developed along the shoreline of the beach near Khorfakkan Amphitheatre and water falls. As part of this development, Alico Industries’ Architectural Division was honoured to have been part of this and supplied 12-meter-high double and triple headed decorative street light poles offering both motorists and pedestrians better illumination for a safer night excursion.
