A mosque is considered the centre of a Muslim Community, better known in Arabic as a Masjid. In here, the five daily prayers are offered every day in addition to religious classes, sermons and charitable acts for those in need. Each mosque is designed and crafted to stand out in its own context. Among the two most distinguishing features of every mosque are the Dome (Qubba) and the Minaret(s) or Tower(s).
In October 2021, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah, officially opened The Shees Park in the Khofakkan area of the Emirate of Sharjah, U.A.E., and the Shees Park Mosque. A beautifully landscaped rest and play area as well as a cultural and spiritual contribution for both local families and visitors.
Alico Industries’ Architecture Division team proudly produced, supplied, and installed the aluminium decorative fences around the area, traditional Islamic styled mashrabiya (decorative screen) for the dome and railings for the minaret topped with the Islamic symbol of a Crescent Moon.
